Have you always wanted to work with oil painting but are worried that it can be too difficult or too messy? Well, now with Lupe Cunha's afternoon workshops, she will help you make use of the new water-mixable oil paints readily available from any good art supplier which eliminates the fumes so disliked by many.  Specially as oil is still the medium prefered by many given the wonderful blending and layering possibilities it provides which in some way are very close to watercolour but with a more permanent result. Lupe herself, often uses acrylic to construct the bases of her painting and then completes her more luminous effects with the use of oil colours, gels and mediums.

Lupe Cunha BA MA has developed her work exploring aspects of colour and light. But she has never lost her love of the landscape and now works first researching and developing the figurative work which she later uses to generate her more abstract paintings. As an experienced tutor she knows that exploring art is at the reach of anyone who wants to do it. It simply comes down to providing the right approach for each individual. This isn’t necessarily by teaching others what she does herself. She prefers to find out what they would like to learn or needs to understand and then directs their studies so they are able to achieve this. The approach is individual for each person in any group.
