Artist LUPE CUNHA MA will be providing her expert tuition in a series of landscape painting classes working in a range of media.

Lupe doesn’t work simply from her superb photographs but from projecting these panoramic images.  By providing a 3D effect, this allows the student the illusion of being on location but with a greater element of control....of the weather , of the selection of view being painted, with the comfort of a table top work surface and with a qualified tutor instantly to hand if you run into difficulties.

In a workshop running  the length of the day (where you are invited to bring a pack lunch as we will interrupt at a suitable time for lunch) we will cover a number of techniques possible when working with individual media. In Acrylic we work with under painting, texture media, glazing and impasto exploring complimentary colours. In Watercolour we work with  varied palettes intensifying and neutralizing specific colours to create atmospheric effects. In Oil we explore the use of water soluble oil colour techniques but again building with layers,  exploiring brushstroke and paint application, contrasting and harmonizing colour creating overall effects of light and shadow experimenting with sfumato and pointillism for effect.

With no worry about weather, using Image Projection, she will be providing a window on the landscape for students to paint overlooking the wonderful landscapes available around the Hertfordshire countryside...All levels welcome.
